Awendaw Regional Outreach Center, (AROC) Receives A Grant for its DGLF-Adult Literacy 2024-2025
About the Award:
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recognizes the important role AROC plays in the lives of teachers, students and family in Adult Literacy "The Greater Good Project".
It is a testament to our commitment to improve the health, educational attainment, and human welfare of at-risk youth, young adult and family in Charleston and Berkely Counties through Literacy programming.
Key Achievements:
To create access and opportunities for adults to learn, provide direct services to adults in need of literacy assistance in English Language Acquistion, adult education Instruction, GED or high school equivalency preparation for high school completion, graduation with a diploma.ng access and opportunity for adults to learn.
Adult student survey provides relevant data or statistical results to have a brighter future for the greater good.

Future Goals:
· AROC will continue to build programs to improve lives in literacy for our community and families in order to continue making a positive impact.
Finding out what is needed and continue to build program and services to improve lives through literacy programming.
We will be hosting its Quarterly Greater Good Summit with two speakers to kick start the program to include theme "The Greater Good Inside You."
